You will be touched by the beautiful paintings from Perugino, the Collegio del Cambio frescoes’ in Perugia or from the Giotto’s ones in the Church of San Francesco at Assisi, or from Lippi’s in the Cathedral of Spoleto. It is possible request a tourist guide in order to discover the “pearls” of the region.

Shopping: Many beautiful cachemire and ceramics in the area. Addresses available on demand.

Sports: Whether you prefer to go by yourself or with a professional guide, you can practise many different sports activities : yoga classes, trekking through the Olive paths, the Via Francigena* or the Via dei Longobardi, with breathtaking landscapes on the valley; horseback riding, up to the hills trough olives and pine woods, cycling to discover the cities of art, mountain biking on an ancient railway path, rafting in an pristine scenario and more over… These are fabulous ways to discover unique routes and places.

The Via Francigena: the road traveled since ancient times by pilgrims from the north who went to Rome and that St. Francis took when he left Assisi to ask the Pope for recognition of his religious order; the “via dei Longobardi” joins, on the East Coast, the north to the south winding from Venice to Puglia and passing through the Tempietto del Clitunno, a small Roman temple recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and located only 2 km away from Villa Giulia.

Gastronomy: Umbria is a land of food and wine traditions. Umbrian olive oil is delicious: very tasting and green coloured, one drop will take you into an imaginary walk through the olives, up to the hills; cured meat and cheese will drive your to Norcia and it’s highland ; a wine tour would delight your papillae as much as your sight and senses with the green, tidy rows and the peaceful atmosphere; a truffle hunt would not be a great idea? You could eat the truffle you discovered !
